My name is Icilda Steele. I am originally from Cheshire in the UK and moved to Trafford in the early 2000s. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to live in many parts of Britain and have spent a significant amount of time overseas. Although my background is in social work and business management, art has always played an important role in my life.

My creative experience has been shaped by my work in interior design, carpentry, and sketching. These interests have deepened my artistic expression and influenced how I perceive and interpret the world.

My abstract paintings are created through an instinctive connection with the canvas. They are filled with energy and emotion, layered with expressive movement that emerges naturally through the process.

While I have been inspired by artists such as Bridget Riley and Jackson Pollock, research into my ancestry has revealed generations of creatives. Art is clearly part of my heritage. My time abroad has also introduced me to a wide range of cultural experiences, all of which continue to influence my work. The purpose of my art is to evoke feeling, invite reflection, and open the door to your own personal interpretations.

Some of my original canvas pieces have been exhibited in art galleries across Manchester and Liverpool in the UK.
